Eckerd College will consider qualified students who wish to transfer from a college that is accredited by a regional Association of Colleges and Universities. Full junior status may be awarded to students who have earned an associate of arts degree from an accredited two year college.


Transcripts are evaluated by the Registrar for credit transfer only after a student has been admitted to the College.


If you are considering transferring to Eckerd College, the following information will help answer some important questions. A transfer candidate is anyone who has taken a college class or classes post high school graduation at a college, university, junior or community college that has earned full regional accreditation.


Applicants are expected to be in good standing at the institution last attended and eligible to return to that institution. High School students taking dual enrollment courses are not considered transfer students in the application process. However, the completed coursework will be considered for academic credit and advanced standing at Eckerd. Eckerd College has a rolling transfer admission process.


This means that we accept and deliver decisions on applications throughout the year without a true deadline.
